Our Story
From a single voice to a national movement.
Potters Gallery Initiative was founded in 2012 by Donald Unanka, with a quiet conviction: that the lives of persons with disabilities deserve to be told by us, on our own terms, through the universal language of art.
What began as a small collective of disabled artists has grown into a vibrant community of young, passionate, goal-oriented creators across Nigeria. Together, we tell stories of marginalization through dance, drama, poetry, film, and movement making bold statements that educate, entertain, and challenge society.
For us, the word “Potter” is a biblical place of learning. We are the leaders of our generation, and we believe inclusion isn’t an aspiration — it’s a responsibility.
